We are WR Fundraising Recruitment and we are delighted to be working with Swanage Pier Trust to find their first Fundraising Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to play a pivotal role in securing the financial future of this iconic landmark, ensuring the preservation of Swanage Pier for generations to come.

As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work with the Chief Executive to develop and implement a fundraising strategy that maximises both engagement and income potential. Working across the various income streams, you’ll create a range of exciting donor opportunities and fundraising initiatives, engaging with businesses and developing a network of volunteers.

From researching and applying for grants, to organising events for fundraising and engagement, this varied role is perfect for an active and engaging communicator who can enthuse audiences and build meaningful and long-lasting relationships.

Duties will include:

• Working with the Chief Executive to develop and implement a fundraising strategy
• Building and maintaining a strong supporter base of individuals, businesses, and community groups
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for grant funding
• Coordinating fundraising activities, including events, campaigns and volunteer programmes
• Managing fundraising budgets and maintaining accurate records

The ideal candidate will:

• Have demonstrable experience of achieving fundraising targets through a variety of initiatives and campaigns
• Be a confident and compelling communicator, able to cultivate strong relationships with a range of audiences
• Have outstanding planning, organisational, and implementation skills
• Be willing and able to travel across the area and occasionally work outside of normal hours
• Have a full Driving Licence, and access to a vehicle
